Few slot franchises have been as influential as the Money Train series from Relax Gaming, and we have been waiting for Money Cart 3 ever since Money Train 3 took the world of online slots by storm back in late 2022. We are pretty sure UK players have been waiting for this moment as well, together with anyone else living in jurisdictions that are unfriendly towards the bonus buy feature. The RTP of 96 % is lower than the spectacular 98 % you get in Money Cart 2, but this is hardly a deal-breaker in our view.

Money Cart 3 does exactly what Money Cart 2 did, as it comes with a “base game” that’s all about triggering the Re-Spins bonus round. Nothing else happens in the base game, and you cannot win anything until you trigger the feature. The Re-Spins Round is exactly the same as in Money Train 3, and you thus get 13 special symbols (including a handful of lucrative persistent ones). The 10,000x potential is twice what’s on offer in Money Cart 2, so the only drawback is the lower RTP.

The base game, if we can call it that, lands you nothing but blanks and/or bonus/special symbols, and the goal is to land at least 3 bonus/special symbols on the same spin. This triggers the Bonus Round, and it usually happens within 10 spins, or so, on average.

The triggering bonus and/or special symbols become sticky, and you start with 3 respins in your tally.

The counter resets to 3 for each new non-blank sticky symbol you land, and extra reels are opened up if you cover a reel with sticky symbols. You can unlock up to 2 extra reels this way.

The bonus round goes on until you either run out respins, or you hit the game’s win cap. The triggering symbols turn into regular money symbols (also called ‘normal symbols’) if they are not special symbols, and these pay between 1x to 10x your stake per symbol. In addition, you can land 13 different special symbols as follows:

• Collector - absorbs all present cash prize values onto itself.
• Collector-Payer - absorbs the cash prize value from 3-5 symbols, while also paying the sum total back to those selected symbols.
• Sniper - selects 3-8 symbols that get their values boosted by x2, and this may happen multiple times to the same symbol.
• Necromancer - revives 2-7 special symbols that are non-persistent and have already been used. This can be done more than once to the same symbol.
• Absorber - collects and removes all regular cash symbols from the grid, and this makes space for more symbols to land.
• Tommy Gun Sniper - selects a random symbol that gets its value doubled 2-6 times.
• Tommy Gun Payer - adds a random value between +5 and +100 to a randomly selected symbol from 3 to 10 times.
• Persistent Collector - absorbs all cash prize values in view onto itself on the current spin, and on all spins that follow.
• Persistent Sniper - doubles the value of 3-8 symbols on the current spin, and on the following spins for the remainder of the feature.
• Persistent Collector-Payer - absorbs the value from 3-5 symbols, and adds the sum total to those same symbols persistently for the remainder of the feature.
• Persistent Necromancer - revives 1-7 already used special symbols of the non-persistent kind for the rest of the feature, and it can be done to the same symbol more than once.
• Persistent Shapeshifter - turns into a new special symbol per spin (Collector, Collector-Payer, Sniper, Tommy Gun Sniper, or Tommy Gun Payer).

Fans familiar with the Money Train series have probably been waiting for this release, and not least UK players and anyone living in jurisdictions where the bonus buy feature is forbidden fruit. Money Cart 3 works very similarly to Money Cart 2, and the “base game” is once again a short-lived affair between highly frequent bonus round triggers. The bonus round, on the other hand, works exactly like it does in Money Train 3.

Keep in mind, however, that the math model is not the same at all, and the max win potential has been lowered significantly from 100,000x. It’s only 5,000x in Money Cart 2, however, but there you got an RTP of 98 %. The RTP has been reduced to 96 % this time, but you can now win up to 10,000x your stake, which seems like a decent compensation. If you like the bonus round in MT3, and want to see as much of it as possible, well, look no further than Money Cart 3, which gives you exactly that in spades.
