For players concerned about animal violence, we can reassure you up front that there is no actual bullfighting going on in this Red Tiger release. The bullring is empty in all stages of the game, although the audience seems enthusiastic enough. This is done via the Wild Picker feature, and wilds become sticky in the bonus round. There is nothing new or special to see in this rather simple installment, but we still found it to be a fairly entertaining experience. You can look forward to decent top up wins from the wild transformation feature on a regular basis, and up to 1,888x is possible in the bonus round. Red Tiger is not aiming for ‘slot of the year’ with Bulls Run Wild, but it’s an okay shelf-filler.

The bull figures on the Wild symbol, which steps in for all regular pay symbols to help complete wins. The wild can appear on all 5 reels, and they also pay 15x your stake for 5 of a kind wins.

A random pay symbol is selected per spin, as seen in the Wild Picker Bar sitting on top of reel 4. Any symbols on the reels that match the selected symbol in the Wild Picker turns wild, and any wins are paid after the wild transformation has occurred.

The silhouette of the bull is depicted on the free spins scatter symbols, and the Bonus Round triggers when you land 3 on reels 1, 3 and 5. This awards 9 free spins, and the Wild Picker feature is active also in the bonus round. The big difference is that wild symbols remain sticky for the duration of the feature.

There is no way to retrigger the bonus round, as you cannot land scatters during the feature.

We liked the bird’s eye view of the bullfighting arena, as it gives the game spaciousness with plenty of room to breathe. The fact that the bullring is empty is somewhat strange perhaps, but we can see how actual bullfighting animations in the background could be too much of a distraction (and perhaps also too controversial). The “ay” you get per wild transformation gets a bit repetitive after a while, and a screen full of wilds pays “only” 300x your stake.

There is hardly anything revolutionary going on in Bulls Run Wild, but the Wild Picker feature does liven up the base game on a regular basis. You can accumulate plenty of sticky wilds in the bonus round, and this can lead to decent back-to-back wins especially towards the end of the feature. The 1,888x potential is not very impressive however, and especially not when you’re dealing with high volatility.
