Play’n Go is no stranger to the symbol upgrade feature, but most games are not as pure breed in that regard as Fire Toad. Visually, the game is pleasing, with a dramatic erupting volcano in the background, and the whole fire frog evolution concept is kind of cool. However, it all boils down to the core features, and whether or not this is something you would enjoy.

The symbol values are rather low, and even the King Fire Toad pays only 5x your stake for 5 on a payline. The 1,024 win ways can bring solid base game payouts in theory, with a bit of help from the Upgrade feature, but you shouldn’t expect too much. The bonus round symbol upgrades are your best shot (not surprisingly), but a screen full of anything below the Toad King is worth 1,228.8x your stake at the most.
