He holds up a syringe filled with a green fluorescent substance that looks like waste from a nuclear power plant.

Instead of following the usual ‘Book slot’ blueprint, StakeLogic has decided to go with a 5x4 grid with 20 paylines. This sounds promising until you realize that the symbol values have been slashed significantly, and the 2,500x single spin max win is half of what you might be used to from this genre. That being said, you get the innovative Fixed Symbols feature if you play with the Super Stake ante bet active, and the overall win cap of 10,000x is twice the usual potential.

The mad scientist horror theme is somewhat unusual for the ancient Egypt-rooted ‘Book of’ genre, making Freaky Friday: Fixed Symbols stand out from the get-go. We don’t see the point in doubling the number of win ways compared to the standard book slot recipe however, and not least when the symbol values are reduced so drastically. The usual 5,000x from a single spin potential is long gone, as 2,500x is the most you can hope for.

The game also forces you to pay double per spin via the Super Stake ante bet, at least if you want to see the innovative Fixed Symbols feature that’s pretty much the only reason to go with this Ra clone in the first place. Sure, the feature can be quite helpful in landing larger bonus round payouts, but you’re still very much at the mercy of which symbol is selected up front. Full screen payouts range from 50x to 2,500x, and Freaky Friday would’ve been more attractive with the standard math model.
