The Bonus Round triggers when you land 3 scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5, and you get an upfront scatter win of 1x your stake plus 5 free spins. Instead of merged middle reels with giant symbols, you get Mystery Symbols that can appear on all 5 reels in this version. The mystery symbols transform into random and matching pay symbols or wilds, and you can retrigger the bonus round by landing 3 new scatters.

The Money Respins feature triggers when you land at least 6 moon cash symbols in view, and the triggering cash symbols become sticky on an otherwise cleared grid.

You start with 3 respins, and the tally resets to 3 for each new sticky cash symbol you land. You win the sum total of the sticky money symbols when you run out of respins, and filling the grid awards a 1,000x prize on top of the regular winnings.

The Jackpot Bonus Game triggers when you land 5 golden reels on a base game spin. The inner part of the jackpot wheel spins first, and this is where you can win the progressive Mini, Minor, Major or Power jackpots. A jackpot win is not guaranteed however, and if you land on a blank segment the outer part of the wheel spins to award a consolation prize.

Keep in mind however, that 50 % of the Power Jackpot is shared with all players that contributed to the jackpot. It’s also worth mentioning that your jackpot chances are increased based on your stake, but exact details on this are not revealed.

Fans of the original will not necessarily go for this jackpot version, but this is mostly due to a very different math model. The audiovisual presentation has been altered slightly, but not enough to raise any eyebrows. You’re still deep in the North American canyon, with wolves howling at the moon pretty much all the time. A turbo spin option has been included, which we always welcome, and holding down the space bar is the fastest way to play.

Chasing progressive jackpots always comes with a price, and the RTP excluding the jackpots is reduced to 83.38 %. The regular 2,500x potential is also half of what you get in the original, and some players may prefer giant symbols to mystery symbols in the bonus round. In one way it’s cool that any contributor gets his/her fair share of the Power Jackpot, but it also means 50 % less for the actual winner. The reception will be interesting to behold, but many will probably stick with the original.
