The damp jungle setting of Primate King reminds us of the Monkey Island computer game franchise, with a mysterious gorilla mouth cave on the left-hand side, and human skulls on the right. Creating visually pleasing games is no problem for Red Tiger, but they have a knack for messing up the math model. It’s far from the worst we’ve seen this time, however.

With no bonus round to look forward to, you do get a sense of progress as you upgrade the regular wilds to stacked wilds, multiplier stacked wilds and finally to sticky stacked wilds with increasing winning-streak multipliers. Random symbols will land with small gold coin icons attached, and these are collected in the Upgrade meter on the right-hand side. There are 3 tiers on the meter, and these affect the wilds that land in the following ways:

Just make sure to play at the same casino, and don’t change the stake, and the game will fire on all cylinders forevermore.

The lack of a proper bonus round might bother some players up front, but it’s not sorely missed when winning streaks keep building the stacked wild multipliers. It doesn’t take all that long to fill the Upgrade Meter either, so we’re not talking about a massive commitment here. The 3800x potential is certainly solid enough, but you do get the usual lower-than-average RTP, as well as customizable RTP ranges.
