We’re unsure if this is some kind of revenge from Greentube/Novomatic, cause it comes across as a wierd practical joke.

We get that they’re probably upset about the whole industry ripping off their Book of … mechanic, but is a blatant Bonanza copycat, complete with a trademarked Megaways engine rip-off, really gonna solve anything. We don’t see BTG’s mega hit taking too much damage from this, and imitation, as we all know, is the most sincere form of flattery.

It’s not like Strike It Gold: Win Ways outperforms the obvious source of inspiration in any way either. Greentube/Novomatic could have created a monster with 10x the potential, or something like that, but no. Instead, it’s a watered down version with medium volatility, perhaps aiming to shave off some prospectors longing for a lower risk alternative. It will be interesting to see whether or not this “feud” ends in court.
