In a nutshell, there are 3 concentric rings with the hypernova situated at the core. Each ring is divided into 12 portions where the symbols land. The respective winning symbols then explode and the remaining symbols shift to fill the gaps while at the same time additional symbols are added. If a new winning combo is formed again, the process repeats until no more combinations are formed. This is, in essence, the same as cascading reels. As with all our reviews, we like to take the slot game for our famous 200 spins test to get a real feel for what the game has to offer and hopefully, get to experience some, if not all, of the bonus features.

Here’s how our 200 Spins Hypernova Radial Reels experience played out. We set our bet and started spinning, and on the 3rd spin, we got our first winning combination which wasn’t anything spectacular but it gave us a first taste of how things work. The symbols exploded as expected, more symbols filled into the gaps and immediately the next winning combo was formed. This pattern of no wins then a few micro wins continued for some time, but we just couldn’t seem to trigger the elusive Free Spins feature, so we opted to give the “Buy Bonus” option a try.

Immediately after selecting the ‘Buy Bonus’ feature, the rings filled with symbols and most importantly, the required 3 scatters to trigger the Free Spins. Initially, it was looking a little disappointing as 2 of the 4 spins didn’t produce anything, but then on the 3rd spin, the magic started when a wild landed and exploded, which then bumped up the multiplier to 2X and reset the Free Spins to 4. Hypernova Radial Reels is an interesting and fun slot to play. The imagery and animations are particularly good and the soundtrack is fitting. The gameplay is smooth and enjoyable but due to the high volatility, you can go through long dry spells with no significant wins.

The Free Spins feature is enjoyable and definitely adds to the anticipation as you wait for more scatters to land in order to retrigger the session and bump the multiplier up, however, it can be a little boring at times as not much more than explained happens.
