Well, for some reason, and it’s not all that hard to imagine why, perhaps, Pragmatic Play has decided to launch a new version of their recent Via Del Corso. We are in the middle of the summer holiday season after all (at least in Europe), so a game like this may appeal to those who’re stuck at home for whatever reason. Perhaps the title of the original game was too “obscure”, or perhaps the timing was slightly off. Either way, Holiday Ride is exactly the same game.

You’re once again taken on a Vespa ride through Rome, although you're stuck in the same place most of the time. The Vespa ride happens when the bonus round triggers, and it comes with additive multiplier wilds that roam around per spin after they land. You get multiplier wilds up to x5 also in the base game, and the max win is still 5,000x your stake. Holiday Ride is decently charming, but we doubt this new release will make a major splash either.

The Ante Bet feature can be turned on between any base game spin, and you will pay 40 % extra per spin if you decide to keep it on.

We are reminded of how online newspapers will often change the headline of the same story throughout the 24 hour news cycle, in an attempt to keep the story fresh while optimizing for clicks. Via Del Corso had its wide release only a few months ago after all, and perhaps Pragmatic jumped the gun in that regard. Holiday Ride is the exact same game, but the title has been changed to make it abundantly clear what this game is about.

It would’ve been more fun if you could visit different famous locations this time, but sadly no such upgrades have been made. You get the tried and tested multiplier wilds in the base game, and they become persistently roaming multiplier wilds in the bonus round. Simple as that. You can still win up to 5,000x your stake, and it will be interesting to see if the timing of this release makes a difference when it comes to the reception.
