Being relatively fresh in the game, Golden Rock Studios didn’t have that much to choose from when they made their decision about which game to reskin for the upcoming Holidays season. They decided to go with a less-than-memorable title called All Sports. Seeing the end result, their decision kind of makes sense, but All About Christmas is even more dull than the original game was.

The theme lacks inspiration, and the soundtrack is even more annoying than in the Sports version. It still feels meaningless to trigger the bonus round via a Hold & Spin feature that does nothing else in the base game. The stacked multiplier wild comes around about as often as Christmas eve itself, and without it you can only win up to 200x on a single spin. Several very solid seasonal titles have been released in 2020, but All About Christmas is not one of them.

The yellow Christmas present wrapped in a red ribbon is the wild in this game. It can land on all reels, and it will step in for all regular pay symbols to help you form winning combos. It will often land in stacks. If you land a full stack of wilds on reel 3, it will come with a random multiplier between 2x and 5x in the base game.

When you land a full stack of the Santa’s gift sack bonus symbols on reel 1, you trigger the Hold & Spin feature. All bonus symbols present on the reels become sticky, and you get a respin. The respins keep coming as long as you land at least 1 new bonus symbol, and you need to fill the whole screen to trigger the free spins round.

This gives you 8 free spins for starters, and you can also retrigger the feature in the same way during the bonus round. To trigger the Hold & Spin feature on a free spin you need to land any given symbol fully stacked on the first reel.

The stacked multiplier wild can sometimes be helpful, but we hardly saw anything to it in our 200 spins test session. Landing a 10x multiplier wild in the bonus round seems exceptionally rare, but it can lead to payouts up to 2,000x your stake. Overall, All About Christmas is a forgettable Festive clone of an already forgotten original game.
